Horizon grant

FimusKraft, a Finnish biogas company, has been awarded the Horizon grant by the European Union for its innovative biotechnological method to treat and valorise biowaste. The grant is part of the European Union’s research and innovation programme, which aims to support breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.

The Horizon grant is worth €2.5 million and will enable FimusKraft to further develop its technology and expand its operations. The company plans to use the grant to create a new biogas plant that will be used to produce renewable energy from organic waste.

This is a significant step towards reducing waste and promoting sustainability by keeping resources in use for as long as possible. It is expected to have important impact on the European Green Deal goals.
